I’ve known a few people who have or are suffering from cancer. It seriously breaks my heart to see them struggle every day with things that come so naturally to us. I decided to do something about it. On March 22nd, I will be shaving my head. Until then, I will be fundraising as much as I can to both raise awareness and to help search for the cure of childhood cancer. I’ll be donating all my hair to a charity that makes wigs for those with cancer. Help me make a difference. Reblog this post and share it with all your friends. If you want to make a donation, click here (http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/682477/2014). Every donation matters.
Did you guys know that one in five children diagnosed with cancer doesn’t survive? And the ones that survive? Two out of every three suffer long-term effects from the medication. I am trying to raise awareness so that less children suffer, and more children survive.
Did you guys also know that every three minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide? That means that if you did the math, about 480 children are diagnosed, but 160 of them don’t survive. Of the 320 who do, about 214 suffer the long term effects of their medication.
“Leo had slammed his hand on the table countless times and he moved his hand further and he crushed a crystal cordial glass. Blood was dripping down his hand. He never broke character. He kept going. He was in such a zone. It was very intense. He required stitches.”
The poor man has literally given them blood.
